BYD has unveiled the Atto 3 Evo for international markets, a revised version of its compact electric SUV that updates the standard Atto 3 with improvements to its drivetrain, battery, and interior design.
The new model offers both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations. The rear-wheel-drive version, referred to as “Design” features a single motor at the rear, while the all-wheel-drive “Excellence” trim adds a second motor in the front.
The Atto 3 Evo is equipped with a 74.8 kWh battery, an increase over the previous model. According to BYD, the rear-wheel-drive variant has an estimated range of 510 km under WLTP testing, while the all-wheel-drive version is rated at 470 km.
Fast charging is supported at up to 220 kW through an 800-volt system, which allows the battery to reach 80% capacity in roughly 25 minutes at a compatible charger.

In terms of performance, the rear-wheel-drive model produces 313 PS and 380 Nm of torque, with a 0–100 km/h time of 5.5 seconds. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive model delivers 449 PS and 560 Nm, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.
In terms of dimensions, the Evo retains the same proportions as its predecessor—4455 mm in length, 1875 mm in width, and 1615 mm in height—while interior space has been marginally improved.
Trunk capacity has increased to 490 litres, expandable to 1360 litres with the rear seats folded, and a 101-litre front trunk provides additional storage. The rear suspension has been updated from a four-link to a five-link design, a modification aimed at improving ride comfort and handling.

The cabin features an 8.8-inch digital instrument display and a 15.6-inch touchscreen with integrated mapping and voice control systems. The gear selector has been moved to the steering column, freeing space in the center console.

Higher-spec variants include features such as a head-up display and heated rear seats. Standard safety and driver-assistance systems are included across all trims.Additional functionality includes vehicle-to-load capability for powering external devices up to 3 kW.
In Nepal, the Atto 3 is currently offered with 49.92 kWh and 60.48 kWh battery options, providing ranges of 345 km and 420 km respectively (WLTP), with prices ranging from Rs 56.9 lakh to Rs 67.8 lakh.
